From the desktop of KABA's Art Director

Having a great love of all things Asian, it was wonderful to see Mary walk in the door of KABA. Here was an American Caucasian woman who had lived most of her life in China. Very cool!

Mary showed me photos of her unusual Chinese harp called a Gu-Zheng and described the "feel" of her music. She used descriptive adjectives like "watery" and "contemplative." That's where the deep blues came from.
Then Mary told me that the title of her CD was going to be "Whispers from the Great Wall." Upon looking at the close-up of the bridge of the Chinese harp, we noticed that it bore a striking similarity to the shape of the Great Wall of China: a very handy coincidence!

It was fun meeting the former lead singer of Santana - Vorriece Cooper - he was one of the friendliest and most down-to-earth clients ever!

The one thing that was REALLY important to him was that he wanted "metallic" looking text for the cover title. Someone had told him before it was just too hard to do: let's just say we made him very happy!

What was really great was seeing how excited Vorriece got when we showed him the demo I had put together for his Enhanced CD. He got to be the first client at KABA to have an ECD designed for him. Slide shows, audio footage, web links, the works!
