In 1974 Ken Bacon founded Kenneth A. Bacon Associates (KABA) with the goal of achieving the highest quality in multimedia manufacturing. Ken had been the youngest faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Dept. of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Sales & Marketing Executive with United Aircraft Corp. for many years.
Ken and his son Paul developed the KABA 4-Track Real-time and 2x Cassette Duplication System in collaboration with the Japanese OEM Texel (now Plextor).
They combined the quality of real-time duplication with the cost-effectiveness of high speed systems. Rugged construction resulted in extended equipment life and the KABA Duplication System soon became known worldwide as the best.
While enjoying a leadership role in audio duplication equipment, the eighties also saw KABA embracing the new CD format and introducing a new name, KABA Audio Productions. The nineties brought the success of the Audio Book as a jogging companion and the CD-ROM as a staple for the home computer.
The new millennium has seen KABA undertaking DVD manufacturing and expanding its activity through video production, graphics design and printing.
The main focus at KABA is excellence in the full-service manufacturing of data, audio, package design and printing.
